似てないポニョと小学生時代 ― 2008/11/02 07:13
昨日、息子が「ポニョが描けない」「お父さん、描いて」ということから、うちにあったチラシやウェブを見ながら、紙に（手書きで）描いてみた。息子はそれを塗り絵にするらしい。
その後、紙に描いた記憶を頼りに、iPhoneのScribbleというアプリで挑戦。僕が不器用だからなのか、あまりに上手に描けなかった。
上記が、指で描いたポニョ。ディスプレイの上のポニョ。
似ているかどうかはさておき、絵を描くのは楽しい。最近、そのことをしょっちゅう思う。
小さいときはハサミを使い、チラシを切って怪獣や恐竜をつくったり（切り絵）、小学生に入ると教室の自分の机にマジンガーZを落書きしたり、ノートの隅にパラパラ漫画を描いたり、コンタロウさんの『１・２のアッホ!!』をマネして４コママンガに挑戦したり、天才バカボンの大胆な画面構成に感動したり、手塚治虫さんが『アサヒグラフ』という雑誌を下に敷いてマンガを描いていると知るとアサヒグラフを買ってみたり、また、手塚治虫さんが「若い頃は貧乏で、インスタントラーメンばかり口にした」みたいなことを『マンガ家入門』か何かで読むと、それまで好きではなかったインスタントラーメンを食べられるように努力したり（これは努力っていうのかな）、そんなことがあった小学生時代を思い出した。
ほんと、絵を描くとときどき、昔にワープするんですね。
